The Lava Dome at Mount St. Helens
A large part of the growing lava dome on Mount St. Helens fell Saturday, sending an ash plume above the crater rim, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. Geologists at Queen's University have discovered that the time it takes for mountain ranges to form is millions of years shorter than previously thought.
